The Abisko Ecocuir is a long winter mitten in sustainable materials with a removable warming wool liner. The outer glove is sewn in hardwearing, weather-resistant Ecocuir cowhide, tanned without using chrome or synthetic dyes. The backhand is in cotton/polyester fabric, waxed to create a surface that withstands wind and moisture. The fabric is breathable, a plus when you are active and sweating in severe cold. The wool liner has a double layer of wool fleece on the backhand and the functional properties of the wool mean it keeps you warm even if it gets damp. It can easily be removed to wash or dry. A long cuff stops snow getting in and a Velcro strap adjusts the width round the wrist. A warm, comfortable companion on cold winter days, just as practical for ski touring, hiking and other outdoor activities.

The glove is made from hardwearing goatskin with a backhand in weather-resistant, well-ventilated stretch fabric. A HDry membrane makes it completely waterproof and well-ventilated, while the microfleece inside wicks away moisture. A thin layer of synthetic insulation in the backhand provides gentle warmth without restricting movement. The glove features Ergo Grip design, in which the seams overlap and are positioned for optimum grip and freedom of movement. The high cuff stops snow from getting in, and the inside lining is smooth to prevent Velcro on jackets, for example, from catching. The snowlock can easily be adjusted with one hand, and a wrist strap reduces the risk of losing the glove. The lining is merino wool blend with Lavalan – a warming Swedish wool and corn starch insulation. The exterior is made of ski nappa, a soft and supple leather that has been treated to give similar durability and water resistance to cowhide.
